Do we need a health card for every visit?
Yes — a valid health card must be presented at each visit, including virtual appointments. Without one:
- you may be charged for the service, and
- we won’t be able to book your follow-up appointment.
What if we need to cancel?
We ask for 24 hours’ notice for any cancellation, so we can offer the time to another family. Cancellations without proper notice are charged a $60 fee.
How will the office contact us?
- We communicate by text message and email only — we don’t use regular mail (Canada Post, UPS or Purolator).
- Appointment reminders are sent by text and email.
- A text reply is required to confirm your appointment. Unconfirmed appointments are rescheduled.
- Please keep personal and medical information out of email.
Is everything covered by OHIP?
Most pediatric appointments are covered. Services that OHIP does not cover — such as certain forms and letters — are billed at a flat rate of $75.
